About the Lake

For those who have grown up on a lake or are looking for a new way to enjoy the hot summer days in Steamboat, this private Lake presents a great opportunity. About the Lake & Property
This lake was built after the digging of a gravel pit was completed.  This gravel was used around Steamboat and has helped improve the infrastructure of our roads, schools … and other areas around town.  After digging concluded, the owner of the land helped turn the empty pit into the lake that stands today.

Features of the Lake
- Averaging 15 ft deep throughout, the lake is a perfect depth for all fun summer activities, while still being relatively shallow allowing for warmer temperatures
- No Algea. Despite the warm tempertures throughout much of the summer in the lake, you wont be jumping back into the boat covered in slimy algea.
- PRIVATE. With the ability to be used by only you, your friends and family, this lake is a perfect place to relax and enjoy your favorite summer activities with love ones.
- Well isolated and protected lake, which keeps wind to a mininimum, giving you prefect glassy water for skiing.

The Property
- Currently has a large tackle house for all of your summer equipment by the water, and a large boat storage building above the lake
- 111 acres and the ability to build around the property with beautiful views back toward the ski mountain or over the lake.
